Turmeric is used in many cultures as alternative medicine and its use is well documented. I like to use turmeric in tasty health tonics, smoothies and adding it to my food for the color, flavor and these 7 health benefits
1 – Curcumin Is A Natural Anti-Inflammatory
3% of the turmeric root is made up of a curcumin, which is well known as an anti-inflammatory and powerful antioxidant. It’s what gives turmeric that bright color and is what scientists believe to be the most potent part of the plant.

Another benefit of curcumin, is that it helps improve the lining of the blood vessels in the body. Heart Disease is linked to excess build-up of the artery walls, which increases the risk of a blockage or blood clot.
